The Healthy Families program includes health, vision, and dental insurance for children who do not have health insurance or are not qualified for MediCal.

Eligibility depends on family income and the number of family members, and it changes every April due to the eligibility requirements announced by the Federal government. (For 2012, refer to the table below). (Guidelines change in April each year)
Applications must be submitted at the Healthy Families program web site to be eligible. Applicants must research their eligibility because the number of beneficiaries varies depending on the California state government budget change each year.
